Guardian Angel ANGER

ANGER,- holy Angel Guardian!
Dear Rhapsodist that has one only song,-
Oh wakeful Guardian Angel that warns man
That something went awry and very wrong.

To be set right, - let justice override,-
Turn wrong to right in healing equity,
Permit offenders to become contrite,
And thus prevent grim lasting enmity.

Pray, voice your Anger loudly friends and strong,-
For unexpressed an anger chafes the soul,
Promotes and nurtures yet more ill and wrong,
While maddened feelings dance a rigmarole.

Beware of critiques labeling Anger “HATE”,
Betraying spiritual immaturity,
That fruitful anger with dull HATE equate,
Fools! fools! -in spite of pious zealotry.

To being “upset“ only they admit.
With honest Anger to be disallowed. -
Let them thank thugs that in their faces spit,
And rapturously contemplate a cloud?

Lo! Anger can be used creatively,
As long as it is openly expressed,
Suppress the Anger, swallow it, and see
A swarming varmints pit, or hornets’ nest.

Let anger be expressed - and see the light!-
The universe itself requires it,
Shout loud and chase the gremlins and the sprite,
That preaching meekness on a midden sit.

Beware of lecturing zealous Virtuous,
That holy Anger with dull Hate confuse,
And nurse and raise up seedlings venomous,
That kill emotions raging from abuse.

But Angel Anger speaks: “take heart dear child!
Hail holy Anger that for justice pleads,-
The Lord Himself was angry and not mild
Addressing two-faced louts as “Hypocrites”

Lo! “white-washed sepulchers inside you are,
That burden the trod-down “you hypocrites!”
That straddle prayer-mumbling the bazaar.
And thrash with glee Bar Jochanan Ben Fritz!”.

“Christ overturned the tables with a knout
A whip, - while fluttering pigeons flew in fright,
Then drove the vendor money changers out;-
T ’was ANGER, - and delectable a sight!”

“The bleating frightened goats danced the quadrille,
The monies and the change flew round about,
Scared sheep disbanded, running up a hill,
And barrels rolled, - discharging sauerkraut.”

“So very angry was the Lord Himself,
So go ahead dear child and imitate ! -
Watch Jesus knocking down mint from the shelf
In holy ANGER - lo! which is not HATE.”

Oh Guardian Angel ANGER, please support,
Ring ’gainst the sadomasochists alarm,
Sing: “ Anger is an aspect of the Lord”!
But swallowed, makes the varmints come aswarm.

Dark holy Angel ANGER please abide,
And help integrity to win the day,
So Anger will be deemed a godly right,
And hold secure its place, for this we pray.

Proclaim that Anger - yes - is justified,
And never ever to be criticized,
Stir bigot dunces up to see the light-,
That outraged Anger even graced the Christ.

aye Elizabeth-good point!!! We have all been angry at times even with those we love- but is NOT hate- hate is a venomous thing- anger is an expression of disagreement indeed. Anger can be resolved- through mediation or simply talking it out. Hate is what breeds bigotry of any form, be it religous, racial or even social standing: but it too can be tempered with enlightenment. So.......... dear Elizabeth keep on enlightening us all........ to share views will set hate running. Peace and Light.....Sara

Have to reply on this screen Sara. Oh you are wise!
Anger is being felt almost exclusively against those we most dearly love. But it takes wisdom to realize that. Not all have it. but you do. Praise the Lord.
Thanks!

PS Managed to coax the lemon up (3 hours labor) with start-up and "Sys6ems Restore"

Peace and Light

I'm speechless ED, this is a masterpiece, well written, and filled with all good knowledge for the viewer. To learn and listen, to understand, and then comprehend!!!
I have a good quote for you ED. I thought of you immediately when I read this poem.
The Bible says "Hatred is 'rottenness" to the bones" and since our blood or life source is manufactured in the bones.......it means you can literally die from hating!
Enjoyed your poem very much dear ED
Warm love
consue
Here's a quote for you too...........
“Hate is too great a burden to bear. It injures the hater more than it injures the hated.”

You blew me away again! Such an excellent piece of work! my goodness if only I could write like this! I especially liked the part where you said that even our Lord showed anger.
Enjoyed it so very much.

Remarkable poem.... When I began reading, I also began to anticipate when the example of our Lord would appear.... and there it was. This is a valuable lesson for "babes" in Christ. Don't you think? And maybe, teenagers too.
Adults in Christ should, - or should I say, would know this. God bless
