Insomniac

While I was out and about
I asked a goose and gander where I should meander
I saw a red fox running in a trot
He started to sweat cause it was so hot
I met a girl named Alice
She was so pretty, and she lived in a palace
It was near Biscay and too far away so I couldn`t stay
With one flick of her wand
I found myself across the pond
While in Perth, I walked the green, green earth
Ended up on a beach of clover near Dover
I looked for the Eponymous Bay, but it wouldn`t be found this day
I traveled the ocean and sea, but it wasn`t for me
A circus was in town
All the clown could do is frown
A king was he unbeknownst to me
I came upon a tiger, and I asked for her name
She was a lion without a mane
I met a girl who read the news while she sang the blues
I was too dumb to pick up on the clues
So now I am old news
She played guitar for me under the stars from afar.
I was her drug, a prescription for addiction without conviction
A familiar song she strung along, she strung along
Wake from sleep, my imagination runs ever so deep
