Everyone faceless, nameless, hopeless
This dot on humanity
Marching to the continuous drum of their superiors.
Walking down an endless hallway that leads to a door that never opens
Even though we always think it will
Windows that let in the darkness
Enjoyment from Deception
A stinging sweet for oppressed souls
All your fear is consumed by the one who spoon feeds you lies,
And tightens your blindfold
Extol you blindness
For I have seen the light
And it scares me

| I really like your metaphor "Walking down an endless hallway that leads to a door that never opens. Even though we always think it will." It makes a really good mental picture, and gets your point across. Also I like your ending line- it's a really good ending for it because it adds a twist to your poem, almost like irony. |
