with velvet drapes, sleep captures me.
shapeless spots of light waltz before my eyes.
slowly the dusty outlines of unknown figures form,
acting out a mysterious plot.
the ruse, that I have somehow tumbled into an old silent black and white
movie, pulls me in.
as the now prominent figures prepare to act out the climax of this oso captivating story a sudden and unexpected noise catches my attention.
like the crack of a wet towel against bare skin, the sound causes my heart pain as it banishes the enchanting figures into the midnight obis.
reluctantly I retreat from the catacomb like sanctuary that is my mind and from the rulelessness that only my dreams can provide.
as the two blue-grey cameras, placed on either side of my nose, take in the familiar portrait of my room the immolation of my dreams infuriates me.
