Destiny Awaits

Contributed by hauntedscorp on Saturday, 2nd July 2005 @ 05:19:23 PM in AEST
Topic: ambiguous

Why must it be you sing the song meant for me?
Stuck. Caught in a web of three
Temptation of a stratospheric proportion...
Curious---Captivated---Marvelling in distortion

What should we discuss today; or rather what not?
Think. Enter my mind and get lost in thought
Denial is a river in which we drown...
Lust---Friendship---Walls breakdown

Shall we go out for dinner at a nice quiet spot?
Sit. At this table for two and embrace what we've fought
Soak up the moonlight and absorb the stars...
Freedom---Love---Healing old scars

Lets take a walk, but where should we go?
Stop. Hold me a moment under the lunar glow
A leap of faith well worth the wait...
Harmony---Happiness---Give in to fate.

Wow Scorp, there is a lot going on simultaneously at diffferent levels. So many things to contemplate; and so many directions things can take. This poem could take one in many different directions. The complexity of it, while still appearing simple, is what impresses me the most.

Very well done, very well, Scorp

Will

hello friend. :)

I really enjoyed this...I liked your expression as you wrote about a particular relationship with someone close to you. I definitely got a sense of fate that links you two together...and also a sense of time spent apart, not acknowledging that one was meant for the other. This is something that's happened in my life...recently, actually. So it's fair to say I connected to what you wrote, and I just wanted to say I enjoyed this poem. :)

I should come back to your pages more often. I love the style of this. The verbs at the beginning of each second line. I feel as though I am sitting at a reading you're giving.

Nice, Scorperiffic.

Give in to fate...

Thats a big one to swallow. I would rather think I am blazing my own trail than to admit things are predestined to be so. I make my own way, said the naive little fish lost in the sea. Thats me.....I'm the fish!

Wow, I love this.
Willofree said what I thought.
The structure is cool and it has so many levels.
Love the bold excerpts too...
I really got into it.
