Shadows Within

Such shadows loom within this heart, it scares me to no end,
they try to claw there way out of me, I thought I could contend.

I fought them tooth and nail, I did my very best,
but these shadows, they grew stronger, they pulsed within my chest.

Now I sit here in the dark, all I do is dwell,
Now I sit here all alone, just a drained and empty shell.
