Feelings of Lackluster Pain

Contributed by MajesticPoet on Saturday, 2nd July 2005 @ 08:19:16 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

------_____---------------

The feelings of lackluster pain
are only memories of things I have not yet experienced
the hollow air fills the space above
the cold, empty sheets where you could be

How I long to let you comfort me, capture me
enrapture me…
how alone I seem to be…
alone…

The space on the bed is too empty to bear
although you have graced it.
the touch of your cheek…
I have not felt it.

The time is not yet and may never be
has not been…
yet…

Sorrow is the sound which fills my ears
deafens me, prevents me from hearing
her voice — despair and
no

I must not think of them
my heart seems not broken — it beats
yet only boils with rage, not love
I love you.

Change it
I must heal myself
disjointed aloneness
the screech of agony against hard steel

The scream
the coveted startlement
surprising the starkness of the blankness
it reverberates

The air is empty
the hollowness screams of insanities and
sings of the chaos and harmonies
deafen all else

Calm
smooth roughness snow and ice
the curve of flame
the lick of steam born of both

Water is mindless and lonely
though it's surrounded by life
same here
but I can think about all of it

Help
I love you…
Spill my Ink
Spill my Guts Again!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
