Slippin Away...

Somehow control is slipping away.
Each and every single day.
More and more with each word I scream.
I pray that this is just a scary dream.
But I don't expect to wake soon.
I suspect I've slept way past noon.
People that were once close are now gone.
All the joy is no longer fun.
And this pain progresses and elevates everyday.
Cuz inside, I'm just slipping away...

this is an amazing poem for a twelve year old!
