A contact in the void

Contributed by Onslaught on Thursday, 30th June 2005 @ 05:59:56 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

The void that spans for ages
The void that expands past the edge of time
Everything is connected
But nothing is touching
At least nothing is interacting on me
I feel separation
From something far away
There is life somewhere out there
Life outside this earth
And someone out there is my one
We are all made from the stars
And we all have souls of atoms and energy
My soul mate might be on another world
There is life somewhere out there
And someone out there is my one
I must travel past the distances
Past the burning suns
To see many stars
To search for my love
My only one
Wether at the edge of the universe
Or there within the next Galaxy
I will find you
There is life somewhere out there
And someone out there is my one
And so I leave this earth
Because there is no one
To hold me here
Plenty of love making
But no love
For that was the kind of world we’d made

I like the way you express yourself in this piece. The need and want...commitment...Is fully felt in your words...Sadly true ending. Very nice job with this write, and I hope you find your soulmate a little closer to home : )
