The Cript That Bears No Name

Contributed by LunaElizabethLovejoy on Thursday, 30th June 2005 @ 05:06:15 PM in AEST
Topic: hbadday

Everyday, just for you,
I hide behind a smile.
Pretty, pink, and glosy lips,
Make all the lies seem worthwhile.

Eyeshadow, liner,
mascara, and blush,
stream down my face,
as the blood starts to rush.

My palms get sweaty,
i'm shaking and cold,
my face turns pale white
a hand i reach for to hold.

but you just don't get it
behind these brown eyes
is a secret carefully kept
like the coulds beneath the skies

i pretend to be perfect
instead i feel ashamed
of the secret deep within me
in the cript that bars no name.

The Crypt That Bears No Name ~ how very unique and mysterious. If something or someone I loved was in there I don't think I could hide it behind a smile and makeup.
