Kissed by a Dream

Contributed by CarolinaBlue on Thursday, 30th June 2005 @ 11:55:55 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

From the mist she emerged,
like something right out of my dreams.
Hair golden, as if it had been kissed
by the sun itself.
Skin as smooth as silk
shimmering as she walked
beneath the moonlight.
Her hips swaying side to side as gracefully
as a tree being caressed by a gentle spring breeze.
I waited nervously as she approached not
knowing what I would say
Then it happened, our eyes met
and I was lost forever in an ocean of blue
Then quickly brought back to reality by a smile
Her lips, a deep glossy red, like rose petals
drenched with morning dew
She leaned over
placing her hand lovingly on my cheek
No words were necessary, all the conversation ever needed was in our eyes
Our lips met for the first time and
an explosion of passion swept through my body
causing my legs to feel feeble
and my heart to race
Our tongues dancing
to a song which no one else could hear
We were one
mind, body and soul, with hearts exposed
yet safe in each others arms
Slowly our lips parted,
ahhh what sweet release!
My only wish being,
that this moment would last forever....

Really nice job with this...It may not be your usual style, but it works! I love the vivid description you depict in this write. The passion is fully felt; well done!

Wow!! That was amazing. Great descriptive words in this. I really enjoyed this poem. It was very sweet and from the heart. I hope this person knows how lucky they are to have somone feel this way about them. Hey, I remember when there was passion. Great job and great wording, you truly have a talent.
