Knock knock

Knock knock, the sound I make with the door,
hoping you'll answer I knock once again, once more.
Then I walk to the small dusty window covered with cob webs,
and press my nose against the dirty glass.
My eyes swiftly wandering the enchanted room.
A few wasted minutes pass,
and I come to the conclusion
that know one has been here,
it's all in the past.
I knock on the window, once again, once more,
but fearing I'll tear up, I just go sit on the craggy steps
of the front porch filled with many dry leaves
and wait patiently for you're return.
I remember a time a few years back
when you told me you'd always be here
awaiting my knock.
But, that day has come, this time I bring my full devoted love
all packed in my now slowly and painfully
shattering heart.

Awww...I like this. Good emotional expression in this write. A bit of a nostalgic piece, filled with longing and regret. Well done.
