Forgiveness

Contributed by LT on Wednesday, 8th January 2003 @ 06:20:00 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

If I ever have the pleasure of seeing her again
If I could reach down inside and try to explain
If I could wipe away all the sorrows of the past
Believing love may exist in the pouring rain
Knowing I wasn't the one in her heart
I know I wasn't the one in her eyes
Had to say goodbye against my will
Everyday I see her vision across the skies
I regret the way things turned out
My heart has turned a hundred shades of blue
Wishing her good fortune until the end of time
May all her dreams come true
Knowing I wasn't the one in her eyes
This old heart is in a million pieces
So many nights I've spent alone and cried
When I awake each morning I say a prayer for her
A little forgiveness could ease this weary head
I pray an Angel will watch over her and guide her
Realizing her memory of me is dead

This is beautiful and so heart felt. The tears are still running down my cheeks and this is about the 8th time I've read this. I'm sure she hasn't forgotten you and that she isn't happy about the way things turned out either. No one ever wants things to end badly. This is very touching. Thank you for sharing it.
Keep the poems coming

Nice imagery, a true sad love tale.
Has so much heart and feeling.
We all need a little forgiveness.

Carolyn
