Torn

Contributed by orgygirl on Tuesday, 23rd July 2002 @ 10:08:40 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

What I feel is hard to express
this horrible longing and this sense of distress.
I've never fallen harder head over feet,
with your eyes so kind and your words so sweet.

You made me feel special once in my life.
I built my world around you..
only to get strife.
If only you could feel the way i do,
love me too.

Getting with her was a shot to my heart,
but I guess I had it coming right from the start.
I never knew so much deceit,
but forbidden fruit is always sweet.

When I had your back where was she?
Where would you be if it wasn't for me?
Perhaps dead..

You didn't see me jump in the fight?
I risked it all that hot summer night..

You said you wanted me..
that you needed me.
So I allowed myself to trust.
Only to find out I was just an object of lust.

I thought you were different.
You really had me going.
God am I ignorant!
It seems to be showing...

Love is blind and so was I..
but i still cry..
I still wanna die.

sometimes lifes lessons to prepare yourself for the best are learned the hard way, but remember as pure and sweet you keep your heart, then someone will want you to share it with them one day, I hope for the best for you, great poem even though its sad, keep up the great work!
