the brighter day

Contributed by irememberyou on Wednesday, 29th June 2005 @ 10:39:51 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

and she's a perfect girl in a perfect world.
yet she feels so dismayed,
like nothing was here and nothing is to stay
for her father has passed away
and it dosent give her hope for a brighter day
she dosent want to go.. but she fears to stay
i kno what shes thinking every single day
i kno because i am this girl that you once saw,
saw laughing and playing like a normal teenager
yes, i am the girl, the girl that secretly sits
in her room crying to herself, while you people,
on the outside see nothing but her smile, but youll
never kno what lies behind her eyes. she hopes
for a brighter day, but she has very little hope
with all this fear in her way, fear of loosing the people
she loves, so she lets them slip away like they are nothing
fear of loosing the only things that matter to her
so she lets everything just drift away, and she is in
a better place as she thinks in her head what it would be
like to live in paradise, to live in a world when she has no worries
where she can just be herself and not care what other people
think of her, or her thoughts. So i am this girl the girl you once
knew, and im not gonna get any better, because you have been
fooled by my smile, but take time to look what learks under makeup,
designer clothes, and smiles. a girl who just wants to be heard, even
if it is threw poems, or tears. if it takes forever she'll be heard.

This is touching to me I lost my father when i was 13 years old. If you stay strong he can live in your power Just keep on writing and growing time heals all wounds. they get better as you get stronger. nice job at pouring your feelings out . I HEAR YOU KEEP WRITING AND I''LL KEEP LISTENING.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
