oops

I have lived a thousand lives,
All within my head,
Regretting things that I've done,
Things that I have said,
Lost love time and time again,
That never seems to fail,
Traded a beachfront heaven,
For a corn cropped hell,
Left would be friends in the dust,
Not bothering to explain,
Not expecting to feel this way,
However I should not complain,
It all has made me who I am,
This person here today,
Without fear I alone have chose,
A very lonely way,
The path to freedom is hard to find,
When covered by leaves of doubt,
You must crush them under feet,
For the trail to sprout,
So I trodden along this way,
Thinking of lives gone by,
Living a bit too fast,
Never stopping to ask why.
