Tired of being fake...
Tired of trying to make...
Everyone happy everyday
I'm tired of going with the flow, I can't have anything my way!
I'm tired of trying to be
Everything you ask of me...
Why can't I be me without a single fear?
Why can't I try without a single tear?
Why can't people just be cool?
Why is everyone acting like fools?
Trying to take control of every single thing I do!
Why can't I be me and you be you?
Try a new life a completely new way...
And I promise you you'll wake up happy the next day!
Watch out! Be careful what you say!
Society ain't so cool!
Kid's runnin' around and ditchin' school!
Gangs rollin' around with bad intentions.
Kid's messing up and getting detentions!
Hey, I'm tired of trying to be what you want me to be.
And from now on, I'm just gonna be me!
The love from the world is gone.
Golly gee, we have nations dropping bombs!
Everything's going wrong!
Love and peace aren't so strong.
I'm tired of watching the news and seeing everything bad.
I'm tired of seeing little kids' faces beaten and sad.
Don't let it continue please make it stop!
Everytime I'm in the car I see a speeding cop!
Hey I'm tired of this world that we're livin' in.
I'm so tired I'm just givin' in.
Why is a war going on and no one really knows why?
Why are soldiers going to Iraq and dying when they don't deserve to die?
Why are kid's being beaten so they have to cry?
Why are these kid's crying like rain pouring from a dark gray sky?
Why dO I have to be tired of seing those sad little faces?
I'm tired of seing molestors, they are such disgraces!
Why do kids go home and get locked in their rooms?
Why is there no warmth, it's as cold as a tomb!
No love, no support to help us make it through!
No applause when everyone hears how much you grew!
In a play if you mess up on one line,
People laugh at you all the time!
Hey, I'm tired of trying to look like a beauty queen.
Tired of every single thing I've seen.
Violence is taking over the world.
Drugs and gangs are all a big swirl.
Effectin' every boy and girl.
Their lives spin and twirl!
Evil is everywhere and I'm tired of it!
It's like the Devil on Earth, trying to smother it!
Hey, I'm tired of going to school and coming out crushed!
Seeing those abandoned kids that missed the bus.
I'm tired and I know you are too.
So let's start over...
And remember:
I'M ME AND YOU'RE YOU!

| Why on earth no-one replyed to this I will never know. I loved every letter and syllible of this poem. Mabey I detect a hint of Eminem influence aswell ..? Its all good, im a huge fan Too! Do me a favour and carry on writing .. Well done! Ellis .. |
