Her Innocence Was Robbed

Contributed by DefPoetBre07 on Wednesday, 29th June 2005 @ 03:49:59 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

This girl was a party, she was having so much fun.
She saw a cute guy and said “The night has just begun.
She walked up to him and learned he was nineteen.
He talked to her so sweetly and asked “So how are things?
She was so wrapped up she didn’t notice the time.
The party was over and it was just her and the guy.
So he said to go upstairs and at first she said no.
But then she thought “So we’ll kiss.. Ah let’s go!
So they went into a room that was brightly lit.
And the guy and girl began to kiss.
So the girl said “I need to leave this is going all too fast.
But the boy pushed her down and said “This must last!
So he began to strip her of her clothes and she began to cry.
There was so much pain in her heart, she thought that she might die.
She left that house at about one in the morning and she could not sleep.
Every time that she dozed off she was so scared; it was revenge she wanted to seek.
So she took him to court, but he was let off because no one believed this girl.
Her innocence was robbed and rape led her to one screwed up world...

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
