I’m Over You

No longer can you twist the knife,
And hurt me anymore.
For I’ve looked into your soul,
And seen it’s black and rotting core.
I’m not the man that you once knew.
I have found that I can love again.
I can see you for what you really are,
And can throw off your heavy chains.
You have no more power over me,
And I have found my voice.
I have nothing left to say to you,
So suffer with your choice.
I’m deaf to all your deceitful, poison words,
The time for talk is done.
I was true, and you lied and cheated,
I’m over you… and will move on.
