selfstruggles

Made myself to available.
Opened myself up wide.
Was washed away today
in the heavily polluted tide.
Tried to grasp a safety line.
My hands were burned raw.
Sharks swim in these waters.
Waiting for the ice to thaw.
Try to keep my head above...water
just so I can breathe.
It's a wicked world we live in.
In that you must believe.

Succinct and to the point. Very well said on trials and tribulations of life using good analagies, which add to the vividness of your imagery. In dealing with heaviness it is always good to make sure we are not carrying any unnecessary bricks on our back.
Good write, Laura my friend

OH Laura .. this was painful to read, sis. SO painful.
I hear ya loud and clear in this and can feel your
anguish as if it were my very own. Your words hit
home .. without exception!!
The only thing I can offer is .. I believe we need the
darkness to appreciate the light, yeah?
*hugs*
