Depression!

Contributed by LOWMAN613 on Wednesday, 8th January 2003 @ 01:40:00 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I want to sit in my room and cry,
depression from the snow,
sometimes I feel I'd rather die,
but off to be a mom,I go!

Winter is sometimes depressing to me,
I don't want to go outside,
sitting in the house watching t.v,
when all I want to do is hide,

Theres some in my family that I cant understand,
hurting me they do,
I know I should take a stand,
to help me get through,

I wake up each day,
only to face stress,
why can't it go away,
I look at my life,what a mess!

I still have to face the pain,
I have to be a mom, when I want to stay in bed,
When I feel like going insane,
So I just smile through my tears instead,

I love being a mom don't get me wrong,
but sometimes I just want to hide,
My days just carry out too long,
My pain still lingers inside,

Will this depression ever go away,
Will tomorrow I smile,
Everyone tries to help in my day,
But I need to be alone for a while!

It is very painful to see tears on a mother's face. usually children don't understand difficulties of their parents..
I am so sorry Christina, your poem is really heart rending..venkat.

Hey Christina, you know this one touched my heart so deeply and i have felt this way before, part of me does now but sometimes you got to take some time out for yourself and your family will undersand that...Maybe you could set a day aside just for you......just for you to do what you want to do and ask your husband for help so that you can have some "you" time....we all need that every once in a while......beautiful write here girl and very very sad.....
