As a child you are simple
you are innocent
and you are pure
the world is new to you
and it is yours
you travel around dazed and confused
by the new sites and sounds that keep you amused
your mind is clean
your thoughts are pure
you believe all is well
of this you are sure
yet to be corrupt by the lives of thee adult
you walk proud
and protected
not knowing that you will soon be disconnected
from your life
your world
and all you knew it to be
just know
innocence is bliss
and your mind was once free.

If only we could go back in time and forget what we know... I would pay anything in the world. Great poem the ending was quite as strong in the beginning, in my opinion. But what's my opinion?
