Rainy summer's flowing
But at least the plants are growing
My thoughts I'll just keep throwing
Around my canvas and my page
There's some bad seeds lodged in my teeth
From all through the summer before
But when they hurt I flick them out
With the new rose's gentle thorns
I'm reading the same paper over again
And its feeling breathless and stale
But I draw hope from the little girl
Whose powerful words blow a gale
So I'll smile and embrace the turbulence of it all
Whilst in the eye of the storm
And when its over, I'll run outside
And remember what life is for!
