Memories of pain long gone.
They burn at me inside.
These memories I've known so long
And forever tried to hide

Painful memories that fill my dreams
And haunt my waking thoughts.
Of things that in my mind do seem
Forever to be lost.

Why is it then, that even though
I've forgotten, or so it seems.
These memories that haunt my thoughts,
They cannot forget me.

This was a great write. The flow was nice. I have memories like this myself. Time may heal all wounds but for some a terrible scar remains. Much peace to you.
