Inside a brick wall lives a man with no face
He hides inside from the world and its race
He told me to never come in his walls red
And that change CAN kill, outside he won’t be lead
The wall connects in a circle, so tall
And inside he lives around bricks that wont fall
As normal a man can not be found
He sleeps and he eats and he dreams sound
Never to leave his simple burnt bricks
They will never decay or have to be fixed
There he was not born but there he will die
He is just quiet you see, not reserved or to shy
With no face and no love he is weakened it seems
Him, the wall, and just his dreams
I climb up the wall until his palace I see
Simple and captive but beautifully free
I call to the man as I sit on his brick
Wall stands tall but at top air is thick
He grunts then he waves as if it were a chore
Harder to notice then it is to ignore
He walks to me slowly with mad in his step
Loneliness is the only thing he has kept
Mr. he is called for it is as simple as he
So Mr. he was named and Mr. he will be
I asked Mr." why do you live lonely?"
He replied to me slowly and simply
"This is my life and I live it well
It is better to have no sent then have burdens to smell
Change CAN kill, sometimes you don’t win
So my dear stranger you may never come in
But sit for a while and watch my brick wall
If you stare at it long you CAN feel very small."
Though he did not say too much
His vast words were bare in touch
I replied to his song with a dance of my own
With steady hands I spoke with calming tone
"I am not big, indeed I am small
For push me and see of course I will fall
But CAN is perhaps and chance is a must
So I will keep moving and with rain you will rust
I will take my chance with CAN until it turns to WILL
Better to laugh then cry at glass of milk to spill
It is better to have lost then to never have had
You wont ever feel the good if you don’t explore the sad."
I turned and I jumped off his wall with no ease
I bid you good bye and take harder look please
For life is too short to live in a wall
Surrounded by borders that make you feel small.
So put change to chance, go charge at life hard
CAN is a maybe so leave down your guard.

That is absolutely wonderful. I think it is amazing. Knowing exactly what you're talking about because I do know you and Tim I think you are finally taking that step and I am very proud of you. Though even if I didn't know you two as everyone else on here that would be reading it I would still think it was a wonderful write. I love you and I am very proud of you. Not only for finally allowing yourself to move on, but for being such a talented writer!!!! |
