Forgiveness

Father in heaven, please give me the heart to forgive.
I know that hanging on to these painful memories
will unable me to truly live.
Please give me opportunities everyday.
To prove I can live by your word
and learn how to sincerely pray.
I want to move on and leave the past behind.
I want to teach my child to forgive and forget
and be an example to all mankind.
Today lord, please soften my steel heart.
I need to make a change today.
With you is where I'll start.

In Jesus' name I pray,
AMEN
