When will you realize what you threw away,
and finally listen to your heart?
I'm still here waiting for that day,
the day we're no longer apart.
You're as close to heaven as I'll ever be,
and my life means nothing without you.
What can I do to make you see,
that what we share happens to just a few.
I'm in the dark as to how you feel,
and you won't budge an inch.
To me all this just seems unreal,
I wish it was a dream, gone with a pinch.
I hope this thing soon comes to an end,
and everything is how it's supposed to be.
Becuase I don't think you quite comprehend,
exactly how much you mean to me.

If she doesn't feel the same for you, try not to pine over her because it takes a lot of energy.
Plus, it doesn't work if a relationship is one-sided.
Good luck, Rikki |

Curtis, 4 days ago my boyfriend broke up with and your poem took the words right out of my mouth. If it's really meant to be, give her time and stay her friend and she'll realise her mistake in the end. That's what I've done, and as hard as it is for me to comprehend we're not together, He means so much to me that I'd rather have him in my life as a friend than not have him at all.
Take care and I truly hope it works out for u coz I know how painful it is.

*sigh* well i've finally caught up with all your poems. Now it's your turn hun.
Once again, great write. You really have a way with words. You are such a great guy (almost perfect...hahaha). You deserve someone who will treat you the way u should be treated. The more and more I read these poems bout her, the more i dislike her. I don't like to see you hurt. Stay strong...ok...I'm always here if ya need anything!

I find I search thru poetry (somehow hoping) it is someone I once knew----reaching out. How odd is that? Especially the poems I feel an affinity with.
"I hope this thing soon comes to an end,
and everything is how it's supposed to be.
Becuase I don't think you quite comprehend,
exactly how much you mean to me."
This brought tears to my eyes and many un-forgotten thoughts...
