Walking alone
I’m on my own
The only thing I see
Is the shadow of me
I look all around
But the only one is on the ground
Just my shadow
Is all I know
There is not another soul
I feel like others have been sold
To other people and lives
I’m alone in my own strife
Just my shadow and me
That’s all that there be
You can watch us
Walking in broken trust
Walking all alone
We are on our own
My shadow is at my side,
Only one who didn’t divide
Away from me
Only one that didn’t leave
My shadow is my only friend
So, when the sun goes to bed
I am all alone
And all on my own
It’s just my shadow and me
I do believe

sad poem. i feel the same way most of the day, week, month, year. you can be surrounded by people and laughter and even laugh yourself and still feel completly alone.
