There was a chance once...
For mending broken things...
Pulling the pieces together...
Ajoining this mixed and confusing world...
There was a chance once...
To be someone...
There was a chance once...
To save the world...
To help people in need...
To banish the hateful things that threatened
to overthrow the world...
There was a chance once...
To salvage something...
There was a chance once...
To be rid of the evil that this world seems
to be drowning in...
To cut the chains that bind that instinct to
so good...
To destory the shadows that follow us so closely...
There was a chance once...
To save something...
Yesterday.

great write!! i liked it a lot!! and it's true, there was once a chance to save everything and everyone blew it! and it is sad that our world is doomed to hell, but not everyone tries to help, so we can try, but it will be hard. but we have to stay in there and fight back hell!! great write, keep up the good work!!

this is the most amazing thing i've ever read! it speaks of things we could've done, should've done, but the chance has passed us. or maybe that's just my interpretation, and that's the beauty of poetry
i love this poem!
