The Boy Grown

Contributed by gwenevere on Saturday, 25th June 2005 @ 06:18:36 PM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

The boy has grown so tall and strong
His childhood gone, it seems so long
Since he was here,a child, alone
Without a mother and a home

He stands beside a man of old
A magnificent man to behold
The horse stands by with silver mane
Waiting for the searching game

Goodbye my father,I love you so,
More than you will ever know
You save from from that village torn
And kept me safe and free from harm

You taught me how to live and learn
There for me at every turn
You taught me how to fight and win
Never to be destroyed again

But most of all, you taught me love
About the spirits, below, above
I must away to meet my foe
Onward, outward, I must go

To halt the wrongs and make them right
I know that I will have to fight
But I will be strong, brave and true
Yes, dear father, just like you
