You hang in all the portraits inside my head

My eyes want to close
But this keeps me awake
My body wears down
With every breath I take
I watch my most hidden thoughts
On a big screen somewhere inside
You're on every channel
Always tuned into my mind
Someone hand me the remote
So I can try to rest my head
I try to stop the rolling flim
But the batteries are dead
I see your face in all the portraits
That hang on the walls of my brain
Etched instone, stained in cloth
Color and details all too plain
Tracing a finger along your face
Your voice ringing in my ears
It's no wonder I can't sleep
When you're gone but still here
