I'm going to tell you a terrible tale
About a strange little girl who always bit her nails
Hiding behind her floppy fringe she'd peer
Alway's so quiet, we thought she was weird
Sometimes at school, you'd see her alone
I swear sometimes I'd hear a soft little moan
I spoke to her once, she seemed so scared
I wish I'd tried again, showed her that somebody cared
I hadn't seen her in a while, for two weeks she hadn't been at school
I asked my friends, but they didn't care, coz "like, she wasn't cool"
Finally I went to my teacher, because I couldn't get her out of my head
"Honey", she said "Im sorry to say, but your little friend is dead"
You see, this strange little girl who never smiled
Had been in the care of a peadophile
So she had a secret she could never tell
For if she did, she believed she'd surely go to hell
But the poor little prisoner was already there
No one noticed and she had no one to care
So when she threw herself in front of the train
She was finally free, and there was no more pain
My teachers words rang in my ears
We'd all known something was wrong for years
So I ask myself, just who is worse
The demon who abused her, or we who ignored her
I feel so guilty, because we let her down
If just one of us had tried, maybe she'd still be around
So I ask all who reads this, to keep in mind
We don't always know what's going on in others lives
So the next time you see that kid who always sits alone
Don't just walk on by, you don't know what happens in their home
Sometimes one person is all takes to give them hope
And maybe the courage to be heard, ignorance just hands them the rope
*This story is fictional, but dont for a second think that this isn't happening everyday.

you did a great job on it
its sad as hell
and your right we dont know what goes on in other
peoples homes or even in theyre head |

It happens more than we can imagine. Sad really. Young children are still developing and not suited for such practice . Its sickening how some people feel the need to put children thru such horrors...
This write made a few tears run down,...
