There was a time in my life,
when all I felt was sorrow.
Always thinking to myself,
Will things be better tomorrow?
Hoping as the days passed by,
that things would just work out.
But lying to myself inside,
Is this really what love's about...
It never really occurred to me,
that I would have the chance.
To meet someone as fine as you,
and begin a new romance.
But on that very special day
when I was introduced to you,
I looked real deep within your eyes,
and what I saw was true...
From the moment you first touched me,
I was yours without a doubt.
The wall round my heart had crumbled,
Now this, is what true love's about...
Having someone who "wants" me,
for being nothing but myself.
Not someone who wants me cause,
I remind them of someone else...
Having someone who loves me,
as more than a mere possession.
Someone who will always need me,
to satisfy more than their obsession...
Becoming a vital part of you,
yet, remaining my own special person.
Sharing your every thought and idea,
yet, still able to voice my opinion...
When I'm with you I feel like myself,
I never have to pretend.
It's you, who have taught me what Real Love is,
my partner, my lover, my friend...
