Observations of inequality

Contributed by poky1502 on Friday, 24th June 2005 @ 10:03:14 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

All this hatred and contempt
makes me live in my dreams
where i dont resent
the world i live in or the people i know,
the money i have or how it is spent.

Im no better than the rest,
but my eyes are open
and i can attest
to the inequalities
of the hypocrisy we help create
by living in our big houses and driving our fast cars
while walking past the bums we degrate.

Step away from the mirror
and maybe youll see
what you do and how you act
affects both sides of the dichotomy.
"I dont judge, thats just not me",
but walk across the street
where the homeless wont be.

Its not all about the classes.
What type of glasses you use.
Plastic or crystal.
We have no right to abuse
those who are different
with a rainbow on a bag
a person is a person.
There's no such thing as a "FAG"!

You do have the right to believe
your own opinions of what is right,
but dont let pop culture be so easy to decieve
the light within us all tells of truth and justice.
Start with judgement and change your views
where adversity finds its place, there's your cue

act on the urges of your heart

WOW! You said it--Preach on! We judge--even while not trying to! Let's walk in the other's shoes a bit and then the judgment won't be so quick!

Thanks for your wise counsel!
