Torn Rose

Topic: DarkPoetry

You handed me a flower
Said it would give me power
I smiled at you
You smiled, too
I put that rose into a vase
Watered it everyday

Now that you walked away
That rose is beginning to fade
I give it water; I give it light
But I might as well not fight
I know that you are dead to me
Why you decided to leave,
I’ll never know
But as I watched you go
So did the flower
And all of its power
It started to die
And watched me cry
That flower, it knows me
And you just aren’t meant to be
It saw it before I did
Even with the light it was fed
And the water, too
The flower knew it was true
And started to fade
I watch as the petals lay
Below, falling softly from the flower
Taking away all the power
That you gave us
Dying through broken trust
The flower is torn,
Broken and worn
So am I
Ready to die
Lay me in my bed
When I am dead
And place the rose
Next to me, really close

Very good peom. Very dark, deep, and personal. From your poems I have read, I can tell you lead a very hard life. But like I said before, don't let life bring you down.
