The tale of two hearts

Contributed by Brandyx7 on Thursday, 23rd June 2005 @ 11:20:14 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Upon a night that was so cold
A secret was soon to be told
This was not so very long ago
When a heart was soon to know

Two hearts met on a summers day
Both had been hurt in some way
Tears had been wept from their eyes
Still they wore their broken disguise

The heart of a girls recently torn
So very tired yet wearied and worn
The heart of a boys just confused
Not knowing if love is easy to choose

A heart of a boy had a secret kept
While the girls heart sorrowfully wept
But as the night grew darker still
The boy let her know of his will

Her heart wondered about the other
But still her feelings wore a cover
Their hearts had met on that day
But still he loved her the boy would say

The heart of the girl accepted his love
Putting away the tears and spilled blood
But as the time began to pass by
Her scars opened and tears began to cry

She loved the boy but felt something inside
For the one who left her the tears she cried
The boy who broke her still held her heart
But now in shreds between the two was torn apart

The boy who broke her began to want her again
She wondered if this would be her pains end
But still she loved the boy from the summer day
The one who had been with her all this way

So confused she decided her only way out
She understood this can't be what life is about
And sadly on a night just as dark as this
She left her last note and slowly slit her wrist

Upon the blood stained note was drawn her heart
Ripped in two one stitched the other torn apart
Underneath the picture she wrote her good bye
Showing the reasons that she had to die

"My love was my own suicide and I know it's true
But still my heart belongs to the both of you
The worthless torn half to the one who broke me
The stitched and living to the one who set me free"

"To the boy who left me and shattered my heart
I want to let you know that you tore me apart
My love for you was so strong and you left me here
All I want to say is that I loved you so dear"

"To the boy who took my heart and sewed it back for me
I want to let you know that you helped to make me see
My love for you still lives even though I must die
All I want to say is that I love you forever and good bye"

And as she left this hurtful world
She gave the boys heart the heart of a girl
Who loved him so and and always will
But even in fairy tales love will kill
