I told myself i'm free from hel
from pills... and pleasure too
sure i'm fine just like red wine
but what's that measure to?
i still have dreams that rip at seams
and cause me to awake
nightmares bring black birds that sing
while this field of leaves i rake
i wipe my brow, think back on how
i ever made it through those days
my childhood's gone, like an oldie's song
though i like to listen to when it plays
it reminds me of a smile, that i saw just for awhile
was that before i turned to flames?
a blanket please, or i'll pee sparks in seas
i'm tired of rhyming games...
supper's ready.

Eerily fulfilling.
I think I'll have to read this a couple times.
Very well done.
