I looked at your face and your long, dark hair
Your eyes hardly opened and your skin was so fare.
I looked at your body and your funny cone head
Your hands were so tiny and your cheeks were so red.
Your skin was so soft and you smelled so great
At that moment it seemed you were brought by fate.
Your feet were so small and you had perfect little toes
You had no eyebrows, but a cute button nose.
You were the most precious thing I had ever seen
More gorgeous than I ever could've dreamed.
I never thought I could love anyone so much
We bonded at the very first touch.
You were the greatest gift I could ever recieve
The greatest accomplishment I would ever achieve.
You are the most important person to me
A very proud mommy you have made me.

This is so beautiful!! What a way to capture such a special moment...Those last 2 stanzas are tear worthy, and I just may have shed one (or two! ) if I didn't restrain myself...lol Great job.

| Thank you very much for turning me on to that beautiful write. Made me cry. They don't stay those babies very long do they? Some days my kids, now 3 and 8 make me want to scream, but I am so grateful to be a Mom. They keep me busy and young. Peace to you. Laura |
