Tie Game

Contributed by Savannah on Tuesday, 7th January 2003 @ 12:40:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

It was a game
and I tried so hard to win
I studied tactics
and I studied stragey
I moved my pieces
and I rolled the dice
I read the rules
and followed them religiously
I picked the cards
and I played them well
I hid my emotions
and wore my poker face
I passed go
and collected my money
I did the very best I could
and it wasn't enough
I'm without you
and so I lose
But you're without me
and so you lose too

So true. People should stop playing games and say what they really feel...

If one of the pair is not even playing the game, then I do not see how they could have lost. And if one who is playing finally realizes that the other is not what they ultimately want, then you certainly cannot blame them for calling your hand.
