Hold On Because

Contributed by InexactExactness on Tuesday, 7th January 2003 @ 12:00:00 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

My conscience tells me to give up on you
But I won't and I can't
You just mean too much to me
Other people tell me to move on and live
But I won't and I can't
Because I'm still stuck on you
I'd rather be stuck with the pain of loss
Than forget you in my memory
I'd rather feel alone and empty everyday
Because that just reminds me that you aren't here
But I'm still with you
Atleast I'd like to think that
I'd like to think that I mean something
But if I don't I don't care because you're still with me
And that is good enough to get through today
My brain tells me to give up on you
Because it's the best thing that I could ever do
But my heart tells me something different
It tells me that I should hold on a little longer
Hold on to all of those feelings
Hold on to all of the thoughts
Hold on to all of the pain
Hold on to all that she gave you
Because she gave you everything
Because she gave you time for anything
Because she gave you realization
and because she gave you something to believe in

Be careful my friend not to let the mind and heart confuse one another lest one shall die in the falling of quickly made decisions....Beautiful write as always from such a deep hearted soul....

Beautiful and well-done the only words that can describe this.

Keep thinking like that because as they say it is better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all...
