drugabuse

She lay an addiction before herself
and began to drink all the pain away.
Not stopping until she was numb inside.
And yet, no matter how much she bled into her system,
the suffering from his wounds still lashed through.
Locked inside her own delicate prison
No one could breech the effects of drugs.
Just blood, alcohol and needles.
Slowly the life began to leave her
and she fell into invisible arms as sharp as glass
