"MY ROSE OF LIFE"
The couple appear old outside,
Renewing their aged hearts inside.
Their skin wrinkles, head becomes bare.
And faithful hearts learn o'r years share.
The young heart is so impatient.
Loving qualities not instant.
A scarred heart retains its gladness
Surviving each day of sadness
Joy seems to come more readily.
Our priorities are rearranged steadily.
Materialism takes second place.....
Feelings and people first in the race.
We've made it to the finish line.
Bravery and courage we combine.
Little things mean everything to us.
Suddenly we have become ageless.

Lovely poem ConSue a true picture of an elederly couple sitting reminiscing perhaps of the joys they have shared in their long lives together. You paint such a delicate picture with your magic pen. Hugs from Martha and Bernard. |

So very beautiful. And what a deep insight into the mysteries of life!
Oh yes, our priorities are definitely re-arranged. And small things take on the greatest importance.
I also agree fully with friend PLATO
"The spiritual eyesight improves as
the physical eyesight declines."
~Plato~
