Magical Journey

Contributed by Brandyx7 on Tuesday, 21st June 2005 @ 09:28:15 PM in AEST
Topic: ChildrensPoetry

Could I run away on my magic carpet?
To a Neverland of pixie dust
And one eyed pirates

May I run?
To a wizard
Of a land called OZ
And see a horse of a different color

Can I run away with a white Rabbit?
To a place of wonder
So I may meet a girl named Alice
Only to have tea with a Madhatter

Will I run?
And clean chimneys with Mary Poppins
And be practically perfect in every way
Living off a spoonful of sugar

Can I run away?
On a pumpkin carriage
To a fairytale ball
And lose my slipper of glass
Only to be rescued by a charmed prince

Could I run far far away?
To mulberry lane
And meet the muffin man
With the help of a ginger bread

Could I run away?
To all these places
Only to be Gone with the Wind
In just a click of the rubies
Before anyone can say
Supercalifraglisticexpialidocious!

Brandyx You can be and do all of these things. I should know I do them every day. I loved this poem of yours and give it top marks for first the questioning and second for the imagination. Well done from bernard. 75 year old poet and still full of Fairy tales. Keep your imagination it will prove to be the best thing in your life. Keep smiling from bernard.
