At First Sight

At first sight I knew you'd be trouble for me.
You're just like me, you think like me,
You reflect like me, you react like me,
You respect like me.
I wish you could complete me.
I wish you could hold me, mold me,
Not control me.
Until he sets me free,
We can't be what I want us to be.
Things will go how they go, but us,
We won't grow.
Because I don't want to create
More encounters with hateful remarks
Because things have been changed
And all rearranged.
No patience for waiting for heartbreak.
That's all it would be
Thanks to pain and jealousy.
Our lives will go on, yours hopefully in song,
My thoughts remain strong, but things
Eventually go back to where they belong.
If that means you with me,
Let things be how they be.
But if, however, we're never together
I will look back and always remember
The most real person I ever met,
And just the memories of you
Will always be a pleasure.

that is a very deep soul poem....you put your feelings down ...nicely done
