Bright Lights, Big Cities

Contributed by foxfire44 on Tuesday, 21st June 2005 @ 09:11:50 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

See the city and all the bright lights
They hide all the stars that come out at night
You look at the flash and all flare
Wonder how people can live in the glare
What would they do if the lights all went out?
Sit in the dark and have a good pout
Big cities depend on the lights all aglow
They shine all over just for show
New York, Los Vagus two big cities
With all those lights what a pity
You're blinded by all the glitter
Hope those lights don't make you bitter
Do they know they are missing a mystical sight?
The beauty from the heavens natural light

Very good!
I'm from the country, moved to the city, but guess where I am now?
I had to come back to raise kids.
Too much troube lingering around those city corners.
Good job-Rikki
