Awaking Fear

Contributed by boobiepeach on Tuesday, 21st June 2005 @ 05:12:52 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Lie awake at ceilings floor
Counting thoughts of life gone by
Close-mouthed

Deathly quiet
The day is showing on the mind
Dark but pleasantly cold in night

Apply your attention to the word
Hammer could not break the soundless ponder
Smooth, the word you say out loud

Study the muse you have felt not long
My heart doubts my accuracy
Not a restful lie

Head rests softly on pillow of yearning mercy
Heavy load on fragile talent
Stable hand, shaky wisdom

Curl in blanket that wraps in affliction
Easeful and warm the covers do feel
Power of wits challenged by clever cover

Focused, iced sense of peace
Look through to the starry sky
Through window of isolation

Warm feet caused wondering ideas
Silence calls attention to fear
Pray for sleep, pause the past

Could see the roof falling in
Judgment said to stay
Body rests
With patience ending stray

Warm sheets and mind occupied
Fair warnings brushed away

Closed my eyes to dark room
Sleep now awake
