Beware of the so called innocent
For just like the placid waters that embody calm and serenity
They only reflect the evils of the world while keeping what lies beneath a secret
To all but those who dare to indulge a suicidal fantasy.
Without aggrevation the surface remains pristine as ice
Appearing to be flush with its horizon
Creating one between the heavens and the earth
Yet the slightest gust will begin to reveal true frailty
As the mightiest gales summon the destruction that lies in wait.
Nothing is so pure as to be perceived as a docile.
Not love, beauty, nor faith.
Secular has banished sacred.
Beware of the so called innocent

Very interesting poem. I wonder what you are writing about. Life, death, love, hate.... I am intrigued to know and so I want to read more of what you write to feel what it is you are writing about. Imagination works well does it not? I liked it very much. |
