Her soul has been numbed
and she lives within a shell of anger
He was her only one
and yet he meant nothing.
He broke her heart
and tore away from her the innocence she could never get back.
I know the syringe,
poised and full of drug
but I do not know where to go...
or how to stop
It all hurts,
not the wounds
just the voice.
Angry and cold and digging into soft flesh
with violent tugs and lacerations.
The eyes weep of death
faint and elusive.
Memories of them
All of them
From soft brown eyes, to hazy ocean grey down to deep distant blue.
They see right through me
but never in.
The numbness of my soul is something
they will never know
They can't even see me drink myself away.
