Creased, grey and hollow-headed they wake up.
A new day is singing but they do not hear,
there is so much to think about!
Before the curtain separates, before the show will begin.
Spray it on, stick it in, stitch it up.
Yesterday is dusty and lies screwed up in the bin.
Straightened, smouldering, hollow-headed they enter,
a world made up of audiences too obvious,
There are so many heads turning!
As the curtain separates, and programmed are the limbs,
Look on, listen in, laugh it off.
Smiling sacks stuffed with sins painted on seats as the show begins.
Applauded, exhausted, hollow-headed they retire
To a room inside a body where no-one is looking.
Turning, turning, spinning heads!
Before the curtain closes and the conclusion figured out,
Think it, feel it, don't try to understand;
Grand finale-empty house.
