Her kisses leave a bruise.

i turn towards a halo
to speak old words of rain
then i'm shown a rainbow
that bled the blackest stain
my halo is my noose
her cold love gift to me
her kisses leave a bruise
can self-murder set me free?
don't grieve what's not to be
or perhaps what never was
you could say this tree is me
and it's true, perhaps because...
All my life i prayed
but to receive no gift of answer
i might have never greyed
inside like some sick cancer...
if i had some faith in me...
